Remote Backup
inVault Remote Backup Software
The data on your computer or network is crucial and irreplaceable. One of the most important steps you can take to ensure the lifespan of your data is to securely backup your files to one or more offsite locations.
Benefits
Privacy
All data is encrypted on the client machine before it hits our servers. Files can only be accessed with the username and password you specify.
Redundancy
The second concern our clients have is geographical considerations. All data you upload is mirrored to our backup servers in Dallas and in Baton Rouge.
Automatic
Set it and forget it. Using the inVault software, you can schedule backups that are convenient to your schedule. You will receive notifications every day confirming that your backups completed successfully so you can stay on top of your backups status.
Easy Retrieval
Retrieving your files couldn’t be easier. You can grab your files one at a time from the inVault Web Interface or restore them in bulk by simply installing the inVault software on to the target machine and logging into your account through the inVault software.

Common Dreaded Scenarios
External Hard Drives
While external hard drives are great for backing up large amounts of data quickly, their reliability is only as stable as the desk you set it on. Retrieving data from an external hard drive that has been dropped while running can cost hundreds if not thousands. External hard drives are great for what they do, but storing your critical files warrants a more secure, trustworthy, and accessible means of storage.
Rewritable DVDs
Rewritable DVDs seem like the most cost-effective way to store data. The problem is twofold. Aside from the fact that you have to consciously insert the DVD and run the backup software regularly, they have limited capacity, are relatively slow, and the ability to read data successfully data drops dramatically with each rewrite.
Tape Backups
Storing data on tape is a technology that is as old as the computer itself. Tape backup solutions range from completely manual to fully automated robotic tape cabinets. The prices follow accordingly. While this backup solution is still wildly popular, it still suffers from a certain level of manual interaction to ensure data is not stored on at your physical location in the event of a fire or flood.
