Mobile/Email Hosting FAQ

- What is Microsoft Exchange?
- Microsoft Exchange is the native Email server for Microsoft Outlook. It is the de facto standard for corporate email and is the most supported email system available. Nearly every feature in Microsoft Outlook can be synchronized across multiple computers when linked to an Exchange Server.
- I have a handful of employees and we can never seem to keep our Outlook contact lists synchronized. Do you offer a solution?
- We offer Microsoft Exchange Hosting. Not only will you be able to share contacts via a Global Address Book, but these contacts as well as calendar events are also synchronized to all computers and mobile devices connected to Exchange.
- I own a Mac. Can I connect to Microsoft Exchange?
- Yes. Entourage (Outlook for Mac) and Mail both support Exchange.
- Do you offer support for BlackBerry devices?
- Yes, we run Blackberry Enterprise Server so contacts and calendars synchronize natively.
- Do you offer support for Windows Mobile devices?
- Yes, Exchange works natively with these devices.
- My phone supports email but it is not a Blackberry, Windows Mobile, iPhone or otherwise any sort of smartphone. What are my options?
- Most “email compatible” phones connect via POP or IMAP. While you will be able to connect to Exchange and POP/IMAP servers, you will not have contact or calendar synchronization.
- Outlook is complicated and most of my employees will not use all of its features. Is there an alternative?
- Yes, we also run standard POP/IMAP email servers.
- I constantly get spam, is there anything you can do to help?
- We run spam filtering through a service called Spam Soap.
- My spam filter catches legitimate emails, can you help?
- A key feature of Spam Soap is its level of control over filtering rules. Single accounts and groups of accounts both can be customized to your liking.
